How does Aftek Motors Eone perform in monsoon conditions?

by Sukhmandeep Kaurover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
From what I know, India's monsoon season is quite intense and it rains hard in many cities. If you are thinking of taking the Aftek Motors Eone as your daily commuter, you need to know how it works in such extreme weather. How well does the electrical system stand up to water ingress? How does the traction on wet roads compare? What precautions should owners take during the rainy season? I’m especially keen to hear from riders who have ridden the Eone through a full monsoon season. Have you ever seen water logged streets, sudden downpours, or just the general wear and tear of constant exposure to moisture? Does anyone have any tips or tricks for keeping the scooter in good shape during this time of year?

In wet conditions it handles better than I expected. Stability is helped with the weight distribution. Just keep in mind that rainy weather will reduce range due to increased power consumption.

I've had no issues, just extra careful during heavy rains. They might have wet grip tires. To be on the safe side, I’ve added some additional weatherproofing.

It's OK for light rain, but I wouldn't bet on it in a flooding situation. It seems to be well protected, but water can get in other places. Monsoon is the time when regular maintenance is key.

I wouldn’t even recommend it for heavy monsoon use, honestly. I don’t like the electrical components being too exposed. During the rainy season, I switch to a regular scooter just to be safe.

It's proven surprisingly capable in the rain. It has a low center of gravity which makes it stable. But you just need to make sure that the chain is regularly cleaned and lubricated to avoid rust.

It’s fine but not fantastic. I have had some problems with water going in the battery compartment. The sealing has to be improved in Aftek. It’s decent on wet roads for ride quality.

I took my Eone out on last monsoon and it stood up pretty well. The waterproofing is decent, but definitely I would not want to jump in deep puddles. It’s OK to use traction, but take it easy on slippery roads.
