Hit or miss with the retro design of the Chetak 3201?

by @ashutosh.kumarover 1 year ago0 views7 answers
Since the reveal of the Bajaj Chetak 3201, it's design has been a hot topic. Inspired by the classic Chetak scooter, it’s a fusion of retro looks and modern functionality. Scooter enthusiasts and potential buyers have divided opinions on this approach. While some appreciate the nostalgia and the fact it stands out in a sea of futuristic looking EVs. Some say an electric scooter should look more futuristic. And there's the question of how the design will stand the test of time or if it's just a fad. It also has to be practical - does the retro design make it too ergonomic or lose too much storage space? Customization is a biggie – does the unique look offer any room for customization? Is a retro design the way forward when younger buyers are entering the market, or is Bajaj missing out on a more tech savvy generation?

I love the attempt but it is a bit forced. It’s not quite retro, it’s not quite modern.

Meh, it's trying too hard. Just feels gimmicky.

Love it! It's a tip of the cap to the past and state of the art tech.

It’s a great design, but I’m worried it’ll look dated in a few years.

It's growing on me. I didn't like it at first but I think it's pretty cool now.

Miss for me. I don’t want my electric scooter to look like it’s from the past, I want it to look like it’s from the future.
