Does the XBlade's digital instrument cluster meet the hype?

by geeta kumariover 1 year ago0 views10 comments
The 160cc segment has started to see a fully digital instrument cluster come standard, and the Honda XBlade comes with one. One reason the bike has been such a selling point is this modern touch that allows the rider to have enhanced readability and a wealth of information at their fingertips. But, as with most digital displays, people have divided opinions as to its effectiveness and usefulness. The display’s clarity under direct sunlight, the interface’s intuitiveness, and whether all of the provided information is actually necessary for day-to-day riding are things riders often debate. One group is excited about its tech-forward approach; the other is convinced it’s prone to glitches and will likely be more distracting than traditional analog meters. A lot of the discussion revolves around how the digital cluster is more durable than analog ones, especially in light of Indian road conditions and the probability of longevity and reliability.

It's not perfect, but it's better than most of the bikes in this segment. I just wish they'd added a side stand indicator.

The service reminder feature is great on the digital cluster. It has helped me maintain it without having to remember to do so myself.

Honestly, I thought I would love it, but I find myself missing the simplicity of analog gauges. It’s also trying too hard to be high-tech.

It's a mixed bag. The tachometer is hard to read quickly, but the clock and trip meters are handy.

If you’ve upgraded from an old analog bike, the XBlade’s digital cluster is a breath of fresh air. It’s clear, it’s informative, it’s cool to look at.

But it’s overkill for a 160cc commuter. I don’t use half the functions, and I’m sick of worrying about the repair costs when it conks out after the warranty.

One of the best things about the XBlade is the digital cluster. The bike feels more premium, and you get all the info you need.

It's okay, but not great. The backlight occasionally flickers, and the fuel gauge is very weirdly inaccurate.

I love it! The gear indicator is super helpful, and the layout is clean and easy to read at a glance.

It's a gimmick. It's hard to read in bright sunlight, and half the features are useless. I’m afraid I’ll have to give my simple analog dials any day.
