Does the Pulsar 250F justify the premium over the 220F?

It costs around 20-25% more than the tried and tested 220F. It does have a bigger engine and some slight modern features, but many riders still think the 220F gives better value. The 250F has a more refined engine and LED lighting, but doesn’t have projector headlamps like the 220F does. There are those who say the 250F doesn't feel any faster or more exciting to ride. And there's debate about how reliable the new oil cooled engine will be long term versus the air cooled unit in the 220F. The other thing to consider is resale value, because the 220F has a strong used market. With many, it's a matter of whether the incremental improvements are worth paying for.

If you do a lot of highway runs I'd say go for the 250F. It's noticeable when you're cruising at higher speeds, though.

Refinement is a godsend for city riding. No more vibrations at signals! For every extra rupee, it's worth it in my book.

It’s definitely smoother than the 250F, but I miss the rawness of the 220F. I liked it more like a proper Pulsar.

I went from a 220F to this honestly, it wasn't that big a jump. The 250F is nice, but I don’t think it’s 25% better.

It depends on your priorities. Go 250F if you want the latest tech and don’t mind paying extra. Still, if you’re on a budget, the 220F is still a solid choice.

No, the 220F is still the king. It’s proven reliable, parts are cheap and it has all the grunt you need. Save your money.
