Does the Kia Forte cabin noise break the deal?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views5 comments
Kia Forte has become popular as a compact car that is cheap, but one general complaint is its cabin noise. Road and wind noise can be quite noticeable, say some owners, particularly at highway speeds. As a result, we have had debates on whether the Forte's value proposition is being diluted by this. The car's pros are weighed against its cons, and whether the noise levels are livable when considering everything else and its cost. There’s a lot of discussion about how the Forte stacks up against its competitors in terms of interior quietness and whether aftermarket solutions such as sound deadening materials are worth it.

I never minded the noise until I read about it on the internet. Now I can't unhear it. Curse you, internet!

I put some sound deadening material in the doors and floor of the Forte. And it made a huge difference, it was totally worth the effort.

That depends on what your priorities are. If you don't care about a quiet ride, then look elsewhere. If you can stand some road noise, though, the Forte is still a good value.

Deal-breaker for me. I drove one and hated the highway noise. I ended up with a Mazda3.

It's not that bad, honestly. I've driven cars that were much noisier. It's not luxury quiet by any means, but for the money it's totally fine.
