Do the Verna’s premium features match its build quality?

Hyundai Verna has been positioned as a feature rich, premium compact sedan offering a long list of hi end features that you would expect to find in a more expensive car. But the ongoing debate is about whether the car's feature set is backed up by build quality and longevity. The Verna gets some praise from owners for its solid feel and quality materials, but some owners also report panel gaps, plastic quality, or long term durability issues. Most of the time this discussion results in comparison with competitors like Honda City or Volkswagen Virtus that are considered to have better build quality. It also deals with the trade off between features and build quality at this price point and whether Hyundai has got it right. But, there are those who argue that the abundance of features makes up for any shortcomings of build, and others who say that long term durability should take precedence over gadgets.

That’s kind of a personal thing, I think. It’s not for a tank like build. However, if you're looking for a modern, feature rich car and something that's still decently built, the Verna is difficult to beat.

There is great exterior build, but some interior bits are a little flimsy. I guess that is the cost of all the tech they have stuffed in.

Against my friend’s Honda City, the Verna does not feel as tough as your average car. The Verna, however, has too many more features for the price.

I have my Verna for 2 years and it still feels as solid as the day 1. No rattles, no issues. I feel the build quality is underrated.

The build quality is good enough, but I wish Hyundai had spared some of this budget on not building gimmicky features, and instead used it on premium materials for the cabin.

I think people expect a little bit too much. At its price point, the Verna offers excellent features for their money. It’s not a luxury car, yet it’s not priced like one.

In my opinion, the Verna’s build quality is good, but not great. It's solid enough, but there's some cheap plastic if you take a close look.
