Could the XSR300 help bring younger riders into the retro motorcycle scene?

Retro styled bikes are back in vogue, and the motorcycle industry has struggled to attract younger riders. It looks like the Yamaha XSR300 is set to fill the space between modern performance and classic looks. However, whether this will actually echo with the younger riders who probably won’t have some of the same sentimental attachment as those that had enjoyed the RD350 is debatable. And, of course, the question remains as to whether a 300cc engine is enough to excite new riders away from higher powered options.
