Can the Bobber 838 take on established cruiser brands?
by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
Entering a highly competitive segment with the Bobber 838 though, Royal Enfield will face established players in the segment in Harley Davidson, Indian and Triumph. These are brands that have decades of experience building cruisers and who have strong customer bases. Royal Enfield’s Bobber 838 is a big jump up in performance and almost certainly price for the brand. Can it have the refinement and the brand cachet to lure buyers away from better known names? The big cruiser brands also excel in dealer networks and after sales support. However, globally, Royal Enfield is gaining steam, and there is something special about its blend of affordability and heritage appeal. It could be the bike that makes them a real global competitor.

HD brand snobs will keep with HD, but younger riders will be all over this. It's got that cool factor.

I love seeing something new in the cruiser market. The Bobber might just rock the boat.

Reliability and dealer support will be the real test. For RE to compete there, they have to step up their game.

The advantage of RE is lower manufacturing costs. It could be a real disruptor if they price it right.

It’s not about competing face to face. Riders who want something different will find their own niche in the Bobber.

Absolutely! The Bobber is great, and RE has a huge following. This will turn heads at any bike meet.

No way. The cruiser market is locked up by HD and Indian. RE is out of its depth here.
