Can MG M9 EV's luxury features survive the use and abuse of Indian family use?
MG M9 EV is laden with an array of luxury features, including ventilated seats with massage functions, a dual pane panoramic sunroof and many touchscreens. Add the creature comforts undoubtedly does add to the car's appeal, but equally raises doubts about durability and maintenance in the backdrop of Indian family use. Roads in India are rough and family vehicles are used heavily from long road trips to daily school runs. And then there’s the climate – can these high tech features survive the heat, the dust, the potential monsoon dampness? In addition, repairing these luxury components is expensive and not readily available in India. Let’s see how these fancy features would perform in real world and whether they can be practical for an average Indian family.

What worries me is the sunroof. In other cars we've seen issues with those in monsoons. I hope MG done proper waterproofing.

Most luxury cars in India do fine, to be honest. If Mercs and BMWs can do it, so should the M9.

I’m more concerned about software issues than physical wear and tear. All those screens and smart features are a thing of the past. One tiny glitch and it’s a headache.

Maybe this will help Indian families take better care of their cars. If you're spending that much, you'll take care of maintenance better.

It's not that the features are breaking, it's costing too much to fix them when they do. India is notorious for expensive luxury car repairs.

I think Indian engineering is underestimated. If MG is smart they’ve adapted these features for our conditions. Indian families are also pretty careful with their cars, plus.

Those fancy features aren’t gonna last long. After a year of kids spilling stuff and jumping around half of those massage seats will most likely be broken.
