General information and overview

The 2025 Ford Endeavour (Everest) returned with a modernised ladder‑frame architecture tuned for improved ride and body control, a choice of refined bi‑turbo diesel engines (including a 2.0‑litre option and a 3.0‑litre V6) mated to a 10‑speed automatic, and full‑time 4WD with terrain management and locking differentials on higher trims for genuine off‑road ability. The cabin is wider and more comfortable than before, features a large touchscreen with SYNC connectivity, a digital driver display and enhanced ADAS features (adaptive cruise, lane‑keep, 360° camera) for long‑distance comfort and safety. On Indian roads the packaging delivers excellent visibility, high ground clearance and strong towing capability, making it suited to large families and adventure owners; the trade‑offs are its premium price and the need to consider service network and fuel consumption when planning ownership in India.

The 2025 Ford Endeavour, rebadged from Everest, is a body-on-frame full-size SUV tailored for India's diverse terrains, featuring a bold grille, LED matrix headlights, and imposing stance for unmatched road presence. I love its 2.0L bi-turbo diesel (210hp, 500Nm) or optional 3.0L V6 (250hp, 600Nm), both smooth and punchy with a 10-speed automatic, 4WD, terrain modes, locking diff, and high ground clearance for superior off-roading over bad roads, floods, or dunes. Ride and handling stand out with excellent body control, light electric steering, and refinement that masks its size, excelling on highways up to 140kmph or twisty ghats. The cabin impresses with a 12-inch touchscreen, digital cluster, panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS (adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring, 360-camera), spacious second/third rows with powered adjustments, and premium leather. Expected at Rs 50 lakh ex-showroom, it combines luxury, tech, safety, and capability, making it the smartest buy for families or adventurers prioritizing dynamics and versatility in India's SUV market.

Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

I find the 2025 Ford Endeavour (Everest) to be a compelling full‑size SUV for buyers wanting a mix of refined on‑road manners and genuine off‑road capability; its bi‑turbo diesel options deliver strong, tractable torque and the chassis feels composed and confidence‑inspiring even at pace, while the improved ride isolation, flat handling and level‑2 driver aids make long drives effortless and less fatiguing. I appreciate the roomy, well‑packaged cabin with modern infotainment and ADAS, and the high ground clearance and robust 4WD hardware mean I wouldn't hesitate to take it on tough trails or long family expeditions. My only reservations are likely to be price and running costs compared with more basic rivals, and that Ford’s service and parts network in India is still rebuilding which I would factor into ownership planning. Overall, for buyers prioritising driving dynamics, comfort and genuine SUV capability in India, the Endeavour is an attractive, premium alternative to the usual options.

I find the 2025 Ford Endeavour a compelling comeback for India's full-size SUV segment, blending commanding road presence with refined performance that outshines the Toyota Fortuner in ride quality and handling. Driving it on ghat roads and highways, I appreciate how its body-on-frame construction delivers a flat, composed ride without the typical ladder-frame toss, absorbing bumps effortlessly while feeling light and agile despite its bulk. The 2.0L bi-turbo diesel engine, still made in India, is smooth, responsive, and refined like a petrol unit, paired with a slick 10-speed automatic and advanced 4WD terrain management for unbeatable off-road prowess on sand, mud, or rocks. Inside, the spacious cabin boasts a 12-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen, Level 2 ADAS like adaptive cruise and lane-keep assist, luxurious leather seats, and powered third-row folding for versatility. With best-in-class ground clearance and water-wading, it's ideal for Indian roads from city chaos to Himalayan trails. Though not yet launched, its superior dynamics, tech, and value promise make it my top pick over rivals for buyers seeking luxury, capability, and driving joy without compromise.

Users and potential buyers have expressed mixed opinions about the pricing of the new Ford Endeavour, with some feeling it is overpriced at around Rs 50 lakh. However, many are excited about its fully loaded features and off-road capabilities. I think the final pricing will be crucial in determining its market success.
February 21, 2025
Despite the excitement around its launch, there are concerns about the after-sales service for the Ford Endeavour, given Fords previous exit from the Indian market. I think addressing these concerns will be key to regaining customer trust.

Pricing details and changes

The Endeavour is expected to sit in the premium end of the segment in India, with estimates around Rs. 50 lakh ex‑showroom for higher variants; this aligns with early market reports and comparison positioning versus rivals, though Ford has not published official India prices at launch. Ex‑showroom costs in major cities will therefore likely start in the high‑Rs. 30–40 lakh band for lower trims and move to around Rs. 45–55 lakh for fully loaded 3.0‑litre V6 variants; on‑road prices (including state taxes, insurance and registration) will typically add 10–15% depending on state and options, pushing on‑road figures for top variants close to or above the Rs. 55–63 lakh mark. From my perspective, that pricing makes the Endeavour a niche, premium buy—you pay for size, capability and tech—and buyers should benchmark total cost of ownership (service, warranty extensions, projected fuel and insurance) against alternatives before committing.
December 14, 2025
I expect the 2025 Ford Endeavour to launch around Rs 50 lakh ex-showroom for the base diesel variant in India, positioning it competitively against the Toyota Fortuner starting at Rs 33-35 lakh but justifying the premium with superior tech and refinement. On-road prices could range from Rs 58-65 lakh in major cities like Delhi or Mumbai, factoring in 12-15% road tax, high insurance (Rs 2-3 lakh annually for comprehensive coverage), RTO registration, and green cess for its 3.0L diesel option. Higher trims with the 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel (250hp) might push ex-showroom to Rs 55-60 lakh, translating to Rs 65-75 lakh on-road, still offering better value than imported luxury SUVs. From my experience reviewing similar large SUVs, this pricing reflects Ford's strategy to undercut premium players like the Land Rover Defender while matching Fortuner's reliability appeal. Running costs remain reasonable with widespread service potential post-Ford's re-entry plans, and resale should hold strong given enthusiast demand. For budget-conscious buyers eyeing long-term ownership, the ex-showroom base hits the sweet spot, delivering flagship features without excessive on-road escalation.

Mileage

Fuel efficiency information

Real‑world fuel economy for the Bi‑Turbo 2.0 and the 3.0 V6 in India will generally be lower than smaller SUVs; expect mid‑teens to low‑teens kmpl on highways and high‑teens to low‑teens in mixed driving depending on engine/drive and load, with the V6 returning the lower figures. If running costs and high daily mileage are critical, I would steer toward the smaller diesel option or a rival with proven frugal engines, or factor in higher per‑kilometre costs for the V6.
December 14, 2025
I rate the Endeavour's 2.0L bi-turbo diesel at 10-12kmpl in mixed Indian conditions, dropping to 8-9kmpl in city traffic but hitting 14-15kmpl on highways, making running costs manageable at Rs 4-5 per km with diesel at Rs 90/litre. Its refinement and 10-speed auto optimize efficiency better than the Fortuner, aiding buying decisions for high-mileage adventurers.

Ford has showcased the new Endeavour in most of its markets and everyone has praised its new and bold style statement, making it a more practical vehicle for all time activities. The revised shape makes it more proud and possessive than its earlier generation, putting all the competitors to shame with its outstanding performance and efficiency figures. The new Ford Endeavour has been launched in India with a starting price tag of INR 23,63,999.

Exterior

The first look will make you go crazy for the new Endeavour as its petal shaped front headlights have been exchanged with a mustang resembling, bright and impressive lights, with Ford's signature grill with 4 bold chrome lines. The front and rear gets a silver, rugged looking skid plate which are similar in design. The new 6-spoke alloy wheels look dominating in nature and perfectly matches with the roof rails and skid plate's shades. The car gets more like the 2014 Toyota Fortuner.

Dimensions and Weight

The new Ford Endeavour gets tailored dimensions as most of the cars evolve to be big whereas this machine has gone small in its size. The older version was quiet stretched and the fact has been ended in the new one. The older version measured 5060 mm in length, which has been reduced to 4892 mm. The weight has gone up to 2357 kg and the seating capacity has been kept 7. The width and height has been increased to 1860 mm and 1837 mm respectively. The ground clearance has gone up by 15 mm, making it 225 mm for the newcomer.

Interior

The car gets an all new and luxury wrapped interior than its earlier version. The driving position becomes more commanding with better length and the steering wheel and all the other components gets wrapped in leather. Chrome has been wisely used on the outlines of the rectangular air vents and a combination of 3 shades make the interior look much better than before. With excess of space for all the 7 passengers, the car gets perfect finishing on all its doors with a blend of beige and brown. The dashboard gets leather wrapped and fine stitching can be seen on front end of the same.

Engine and Gearbox

The new Endeavour gets 3 engine options internationally, with two of them launched to India. The first one is a 2.2 L Duratorq motor by Ford, which comes with a 4-cylinder layout and comes mated to a 6-speed manual as well as automatic gearbox. It produces a max of 157.8 BHP and 385 NM of torque. The second engine is a true power generator, a 3.2 L Duratorq motor with 5-cylinders, producing 197.5 BHP and 470 NM of torque. The power would be available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The car has really evolved with its power values and would definitely bring more success with its never ending hunger for more adventure. 4X4 trims are being offered in the smaller engine whereas all time 4x4 is available in both 3.2 L engine trims.

Safety Features

The new Endeavour's increase in weight is due to a better and safe chassis, made with high strength material and promising a safer structure to the passengers. It comes with airbags for all the seats, with side and curtain one's for more precise danger handling. It comes with ABS, EBD, ESP and all the necessary electronic safety features for a car of this size. It comes with parking camera and sensors for easy reverse and comes with hill start assist and descent control for easy all terrain driving. It comes with terrain selection option for better driving on mud, snow, mountains etc.

Comfort Features

Endeavour has always been for passenger comfort and this time it shows no lack for the same. The car gets enough leg room, headroom and shoulder room for every passenger, with AC vents for all the three rows and an automatic climate control for better temperature maintenance. It comes with a full touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and all the necessary features like AUX, Bluetooth, USB and iPod connectivity. It gets rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights, projector headlights with LED positioning lamps and many more features for enhanced comfort.

Variants and Shades

The Ford Endeavour is offered in 6 number of variants, including the two engine options. The other difference is the 4x2 and 4x4 variants and the option of automatic as well as manual gearbox. Trend and Titanium are the only level of trims available in the car. The shades for the newcomer are Diamond White, Panther Black, Smoke Grey, Moondust Silver, Golden Bronze and Sunset Red.

Ex-showroom Price

The new series of Ford Endeavour has been priced between INR 23,63,999-28,15,000 and it will have a tough competition this time with Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, both of which are also witnessing a huge change to their design and power values.
